Golding Tells Comrades To Get Ready As Next Elections Won't Be Easy

Opposition Leader, Mark Golding, says the Andrew Holness administration has no credibility to govern the country.

The Opposition Leader made the comments in the context of increasing inflationary pressures and rising incidents of crime and violence affecting Jamaicans.
Mr. Golding says the Holness government does not have a reputation for integrity.

Mr. Golding was speaking during at a divisional conference for the Trench Town division in his constituency.

He says too often the government is fixed on propaganda, rather than ensuring good governance.

Golding says this has left Jamaicans to grapple with increased hardships.

He’s accusing the government of not doing enough to protect the Jamaican people from economic shocks.

The Opposition Leader has consistently called on the government to provide greater economic relief particularly as it relates to rising gas prices.

The Finance Minister has rejected the calls, citing the need to maintain the country’s fiscal stability.

Meanwhile, Mr. Golding says he senses that the Jamaican people are ready for a change in government.

He’s telling comrades to get ready as the next Elections will not be easy.
