Gov't looks to revive and expand railway service

Stokes urges police to target crime syndicates

DEVELOPMENT economist Dr Chris Stokes is urging the authorities to target crime syndicates to prevent further attacks on cash couriers.

A former banker is considering the option of filing a lawsuit against the state after he was freed on Thursday of sexual offence charges following a stunning admission by the complainant in court that she lied about aspects of the purported incident.

Detectives assigned to the Clarendon Criminal Investigations Branch (CIB) have listed Menelek Youngsam as wanted, after previously naming him as a person of interest.

Police have identified the deceased in the small plane crash near Highgate in St Mary on Friday morning.
