Supreme Ventures Limited and Mayberry Investments Reward Sunshine Girls' with $1M Investment Accounts
In a move that echoes the spirit of triumph and teamwork displayed by the Sunshine Girls, Mayberry Investments and the Supreme Ventures Foundation have partnered to reward the Girls’ bronze medal winning performance at recent Netball World Cup.
Each of the fifteen players will receive a J$1 Million Dollar investment account funded by both the Supreme Ventures Foundation and Mayberry Investments. The initiative not only recognises the efforts of the team in this year’s tournament but is a major step in securing the future of the nation’s sports heroes. The investment accounts come as a three-year savings plan, carefully overseen under individual accounts, ensuring that the players' financial aspirations are given the care they deserve.
"We are excited to collaborate with the Supreme Ventures Foundation to recognise the Sunshine Girls' hard work and commitment," remarked Rachel Kirlew, Assistant Vice President of Investment Banking at Mayberry Investments. "These investment accounts are more than just a gesture; they're a way to provide these athletes with tangible empowerment as they continue to excel both on and off the court."
Acknowledging leadership's role in this ensemble, the coach of the Sunshine Girls, Connie Francis, will also be provided with a $2 million investment account. This underscored the importance of teamwork and guidance in creating extraordinary results.
Heather Goldson, Director of the Supreme Ventures Foundation (SVF) and Chief Marketing Officer of Supreme Ventures Limited (SVL), expressed, "We know that the sacrifices you’ve made along the way to this bronze medal have been many. On behalf of a grateful nation, it is our absolute pleasure to partner with Mayberry and the JOA to award each member of the bronze medal winning team with these investment accounts. We’re very proud to be a part of this initiative as it continues our tradition of supporting and investing in sports and in our athletes and rewarding Jamaican excellence.”
In a heartfelt encore, the partnership spotlights the story of Latanya Wilson, a Sunshine Girl whose home was lost to a fire stemming from a gang-related conflict in central Kingston. In a gesture of solidarity, the Jamaica Olympic Association (JOA) steps forward with an additional $1 million, a poignant reminder of the power of community and compassion.
"We celebrate and acknowledge the achievements of our Sunshine Girls on the court, and we are proud to reward them for their success," expressed Ryan Foster, Secretary General and Chief Executive Officer of the Jamaica Olympic Association. "Thank you to SVL and Mayberry for believing in our vision and for their continued contributions to our athletes and coaches. As we continue our dedicated partnership, we are excited to make many other exciting announcements leading into the Olympic year, as together, we strive to change lives." He added.
This partnership resonates beyond the spotlight. Both Mayberry Investments and the Supreme Ventures Foundation play a strong role in youth and community development, emphasising their dedication to fostering positive change and empowerment in Jamaica.
