The Hanover police charged a teenager on Sunday, December 1 with illegal possession of firearm and ammunition and wounding with intent.
Charged is 19-year-old Toney Lewis otherwise called 'Angry Bird', unemployed of Haughton Court district in Lucea, Hanover.
Police reports are that on Thursday, November 21, the complainant was on his way home about 8:45 pm when he was attacked by a gunman and shot. He was taken to the hospital where he was treated. Following investigations, the police said Lewis was arrested.
He was later charged after a question and answer session, the police said.
