‘Tis the season for spreading joy and love, and Xodus Carnival Company has joined hands and heart with the Food for the Poor Angels of Hope Toy Drive, to bring Christmas cheer to hundreds of children in state care.
A total of 800 children across various children’s homes, aged 4-16 years, will be greeted with a plethora of gifts on Christmas morning, courtesy of this initiative. Further to the toys collected in the drive, Xodus Carnival has pledged to make an additional donation of toys valued up to $150,000.
Pierre Goubault, CEO of Xodus Carnival, is thrilled to be a part of this charitable act, noting that Christmas is a special occasion for children all across the world.
“Christmas is a time of sharing and creating joyful moments. For children, there is nothing like waking up on Christmas morning to seeing your gifts wrapped up nicely under the tree. Unfortunately, not every child has that reality, so with this partnership, we are ensuring that as many children as possible are able to receive at least one gift on Christmas morning,” shared Goubault.
In a bid to facilitate an ample amount of donations, the carnival band has displayed a branded box in the Xodus Showroom at 3 Musgrave Avenue, for revelers and sponsors who are interested in making donations to the cause. The first 20 persons to donate at the showroom will receive 1 ticket each to Xodus Tailgate on December 28, 2023.
Goubault continued to say that, “This joint initiative with Angels of Hope aims to provide gifts for 800 children. Our aim is to exceed that number in gifts and be able to put a smile on even more children’s faces. We are encouraging our sponsors, masqueraders and just anyone who is willing, to come to our showroom at 3 Musgrave Avenue, Kingston to make their donations and help spread the joy of the season to our children in state care.”
The Food For the Poor Angels of Hope Toy Drive is scheduled for December 20, 2023, where Xodus Carnival will handover the donated gifts to light up the lives of 800 children.
