2023 was a record-breaking year for Lotto and Super Lotto players!
Supreme Ventures Limited (SVL) has reported that last year, players of its flagship lottery brands, Lotto and Super Lotto won a record breaking 48 Billion Dollars. The big wins were not limited to the lottery products, as scores of other players also became millionaires by cashing in on big wins across the company’s sports betting product JustBet and horse racing at Caymanas Park.
Xesus Johnston, CEO Supreme Ventures Gaming was excited at the “As we reflect on this $48B in jackpot wins in 2023, we're not just celebrating the wins for the lucky Lotto and Super Lotto players; we're also celebrating dreams fulfilled, lives transformed, and communities uplifted. One thing that is consistent among all our winners is their desire to transform their lives with their newly found fortune. Their first thought when they collect their winnings is usually to continue their education, fund their children’s education or invest in their businesses. This is very heartening for us because the ripple effect of these winnings often reaches far beyond the winner’s pocket but extends to the wider community and ultimately the Jamaican economy.”
Among the newest entries to the multi-millionaire club was A. Fraser, who made history by winning the largest ever Super Lotto jackpot of $542.5 Million in April. Fraser, like the majority of SVL’s millionaires, was overwhelmed at his overnight change in fortune and was eager to use the money to change his and his family’s lives and create generational wealth.
“Lord knows I been through a lot of struggles. I remember as a youth, some days were rough. Even as a father now, there were days I could hardly find it to buy food for the kids. I always tell them to keep the faith and that whenever I get money they will be alright, so now dem alright. Now that I’ve won this Super Lotto jackpot they can now enjoy life, they have nothing to worry about,” said a tearful Fraser when he was collecting his historic jackpot.
Subsequent to Fraser’s massive Super Lotto win, the multi-jurisdictional game was hit twice again in Jamaica - $342M won in November and a jackpot of $144.6M won in December.
The Lotto jackpot was hit five times in 2023 - $63M in February, $45M in March, $49M and $35M in May and the highest Lotto jackpot of 2023, an impressive $100M in October. It must be noted that the winner of the $35M May jackpot did not come forward.
In further demonstration of the company’s breadth of creating winners and millionaires, sports betting enthusiasts also cashed in on their favourite teams and sports with multiple players winning hundreds of thousands on their wagers. Over at Caymanas Park, operated by Supreme Ventures Racing and Entertainment Limited (SVREL), 68 punters each won in excess of One Million dollars by wagering on live racing or simulcasts.
Also, for the first time in the company’s history, a non-cash jackpot prize was introduced with Supreme Scratchaz Supreme Wheels ticket which gives customers the chance to instantly win one of several 2024 GWM Haval H6s from Stewart’s Automotive. So far, one of the Havals has been won.
Johnston was excited about the prospect of creating more winners this year. “Looking ahead to 2024, we're excited to continue this journey, creating more moments that redefine what winning truly means for our players and to play a role in transforming more lives all around Jamaica.”
These significant wins solidify the Company's position as the undisputed leader and the winningest company in the Jamaican gaming industry. SVL remains committed to providing exciting and engaging gaming experiences and anticipates creating even more millionaires in 2024.
