In a well needed gesture, Portland based Spring Water Company, Lifespan, came to the aid of the Buff Bay Primary School in the Parish by conducting a restoration exercise of the boys’ bathroom.
The initiative is the latest one to be carried out by the Lifespan team, which has had a long relationship of outreach with the school.
The school’s Principal, Jacqueline Edwards, expressed deep appreciation to the company for its undeniable commitment towards education, and for providing a more sanitary environment for the students. She voiced these sentiments during the revamping of the boys’ bathroom, where she pointed out the great relationship that the school has with Lifespan. “It was a commendable display of efforts by the Lifespan team,” Edwards said.
She stated that this was not the first time the Company has provided the school with assistance as they have, in the past, donated six smart white boards to the school.
Showing gratitude, Edwards commented that “We really appreciate this initiative, as it gives our school a much-needed facelift. The children use this space on a daily basis and when it is painted and looking fresh they will be more appreciative of it, and will be more comfortable going into that space”.
Lifespan’s Executive Assistant, Jessica Hartley, explained that this project was a matter of priority. She believed that it was the best way they could assist in improving the school environment.
The General Manager for Lifespan, Robert Scott, was also among those participating in the transformation of the boys’ bathroom. “While this project is very important to the overall health and well-being of the children attending Buff Bay Primary School, it also aligns with Lifespan’s Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) number 6, which is to provide clean water and sanitation for all, and by repainting this bathroom, it puts us one step closer to achieving this goal”.
Lifespan Company Limited prides itself on consistently giving back to the community, providing support in key areas. The premium quality water brand is looking forward to continuing its relationship, and doing more projects with the Buff Bay Primary School, as well as other schools in the parish that may need assistance.
