Dream Wknd Kicks-Off in Style With ‘Twisted Spiritz’: A Lingerie & PJ's Extravanaganza Lights up Wavz Beach
Despite the gloomy skies, the energy at Twisted Spiritz on Friday night was electric.
Dream Wknd kicked off its celebration in style with a ‘Lingerie & Pajamas’ themed event, transforming Wavz Beach into a sea of lace and satin.
During the early hours, veteran DJ Nicco set the tone with a blast of tunes, getting everyone in the mood for the festivities. With the fresh scent of rain lingering, partygoers eagerly hit the all-inclusive bars to fill their cups and secure their spots for the night.
Ron Burke, Dream Wknd Festival Director was elated with the turnout for the night, stating that “ The night was absolutely amazing! For our 15th anniversary, our aim was to really put on a spectacular staging for our patrons, and we have definitely started off strongly. I’m looking forward to the remaining events, rain or shine.”
Dancehall sensation Jada Kingdom, known as ‘Mumma Heavy,’ made a highly anticipated appearance, much to the crowd's excitement. Taking the stage around 3 a.m., right after a heavy rain shower, Kingdom had the audience singing along to her latest hits. Tracks like ‘Top Tier,’ ‘What’s Up,’ and ‘GPP’ blared from the speakers as she wrapped up her electrifying performance.
Dominic Bell, Communications Manager, J. Wray & Nephew Ltd, is pleased with the night’s outcome, noting that Campari has a strategic partnership with Dream Entertainment that is backed by both brands' alignment on the local party scene.
Bell shared that “We are extremely happy to be a part of Dream Wknd’s 15th annual staging. We have shared an excellent relationship with the Dream team, and as the catalyst for memorable moments, we look forward to adding our special touch to execute each event. Campari is happy to be here as we celebrate this milestone in entertainment.”
As the night prolonged, patrons were visibly content with the night’s offerings. Layla Bluefort, a patron visiting from North Carolina, had nothing but positive reviews to offer. She expressed that “I keep coming back because of the vibes, music and culture. I love Jamaica, I love all things Jamaican. Dream Wknd is, and continues to be a wonderful experience. So much so that I had to introduce my friend to it, and bring her along this year.”
The weekend continues on Saturday, August 3rd with the all-white Daydreams, followed by YUSH in the night.
