B3 Parenting Presents: "Parenting on Purpose 2024" - A Free Event for Jamaica's Parents

B3 Parenting, in partnership with The BossMom Network and the Office of the Children’s Advocate, proudly announces the highly anticipated 2024 Parenting on Purpose forum.

This transformative event will take place on Monday, November 11, 2024, from 5:30-7:30 PM at the Meadowbrook High School Auditorium, offering both in-person and virtual attendance options.

With the support of esteemed Jamaican leaders, including The Honourable Fayval Williams, Former Minister of Education, and Mrs. Diahann Gordon Harrison, Children’s Advocate, this forum aims to equip parents, guardians, educators and community leaders with essential skills and insights to navigate the complexities of modern parenting.

Minister Williams emphasized the importance of this initiative, stating, “I am grateful to have these conversations expanded into schools across Jamaica as I feel they align with the Ministry of Education & Youth’s efforts surrounding the promotion of positive parenting, especially during National Parents’ Month”.

The event features a lineup of expert conversation leaders, including Diahann Gordon Harrison, Jerome Smalling (CEO of JMMB), Steve “Urchin” Wilson (Entertainment Manager and Author), and Jehan WHite (Clinical Psychologist). Hosted by renowned motivational speaker, Krystal Tomlinson, attendees will engage in dynamic discussions designed to provide practical tools and strategies for today’s parenting challenges.

These are essential conversations that will continue in schools across the country throughout 2025,” says Michelle Gordon, organizer of Parenting on Purpose 2024. “We are adapting our approach to parenting by drawing from real-life experiences and challenges faced by parents today. Recognizing the need to evolve our parenting methods, we believe these sessions are vital in helping parents gain meaningful insights into their own parenting styles and discover tools to improve communication and strengthen the bond with their children. We’re helping parents to assess and build their skills, which will ultimately shape a more supportive and understanding environment for their families. ”

With a limited capacity of 200 seats at Meadowbrook High School, registration is required for both in-person and online participation. Participants can register for free online at  https://forms.gle/nhai7Taqtb4higpC7.

B3 Parenting extends special thanks to its sponsors, including the Office of the Children’s Advocate, Commercial Concepts Limited, and the Principal and PTA at Meadowbrook High School, for their invaluable support in making this initiative possible.
