PAST STUDENTS COMMEMORATE THE 125TH ANNIVERSARY OF ST HUGH'S HIGH SCHOOL NOVEMBER 14-18, 2024

From November 14 to 18 the St Hugh's High School Past Students' Association will be commemorating the 125th founding of their school under the theme "Fit and Alive for 125".

The school community will be using the anniversary to celebrate each and every member of the community and looking with hope to the future.

The first event will be the annual school awards ceremony to acknowledge outstanding students of the school to be held on Thursday November 14 at St Luke's Anglican Church, Cross Roads, in the parish of St Andrew, commencing at 9am. This will be followed in the evening by a welcome cocktail for overseas past students.

On Friday, November 15, all past students called swans are invited to return to the school at 1 Leinster Road and interact with students from 7:30AM to 2:30PM. This will be a day of pep talks, career talks, sports, games and school-based fun.  Later that day, all past students are invited to  join in an evening of fun laughter and reminiscing at 22 Jerk, 22 Barbican Road, Kingston 6 from 7:oo pm until…

The highlight of the week will be the anniversary banquet which will be an evening of elegance, entertainment and awards to past students who have contributed not only to the legacy of the school, but nationally and globally. The banquet will commence at 7pm,  on Saturday November 16 at the Jamaica Pegasus Hotel, and the guest speaker is the President of the Court of Appeal Hon. Mrs Justice Marva McDonald Bishop. The school community gathers for a thanksgiving service 10:30 am, Sunday November 17 at St Luke's Anglican Church, Cross Roads

Monday November 18 will be a relaxing fun day at Puerto Seco Beach for all past students and their families.

The swan is the school mascot and it is admired for its fierce defence instincts, elegance in flight and swimming, and grace and benevolence to its family.  Fidelitas is the school’s motto which means loyalty.
