St. Bess Man Claims Early Christmas Present of $162 Million Super Lotto Jackpot

This holiday will be especially festive for St. Elizabeth resident Mr. A. Reid who has claimed the J$162 million Super Lotto jackpot, bringing an early Christmas gift to him and his family.

Previously coming within a number or two of winning, Reid's persistence finally paid off with the winning numbers 11, 19, 24, 25, 33 and Super Ball 5. He has now secured the life-changing jackpot that promises to change his family's future well beyond the festive season.

Reid plans to distribute a significant portion of his winnings among his children and within his community. "This win is about more than just the money and is bigger than me," Mr. Reid said. "I will use this money to provide for my children and to finally buy a house. I will also be giving back to my community through the church and the schools. I always try to give back from the little that I have so now that I have more money, it means I can give more. Winning this money isn’t really about me, I will definitely be using most of it to help others.”

He is the fourth Super Lotto jackpot winner this year.  In March, a businessman took home J$163 million, and in August, a retiree won J$236.5 million in the Super Lotto jackpot. The other Super Lotto jackpot hit was in St. Maarten, where the player won J$294 million, also in August.

"This latest win reflects the ongoing excitement of Super Lotto," said Kamal Powell, Head of Marketing at Supreme Ventures Limited. "We continue to see life-changing moments for players in Jamaica and across the region. Each win is a testament to the dreams we help make real for numerous families."

The multi-jurisdictional game is currently played in 6 Caribbean countries: Jamaica, Barbados, St. Kitts & Nevis, Anguilla, Antigua and St. Maarten. Draws take place every Tuesday and Friday at 8:30pm.
