D’Aftermas a Massive Success

Campus Elite's highly anticipated annual UWI Carnival afterparty, D'Aftermas, was a resounding success, offering an interactive and immersive experience that put attendees at the heart of the action.

Hosted by the youth-focused marketing agency on Saturday, March 15, 2025, at the UWI Mona campus grounds, the event attracted a vibrant and diverse crowd, solidifying its reputation as one of the must-attend celebrations of the season.

With gates opened as early as 5pm, D’Aftermas college DJs Watty, and Breeze & Jubba who got the vibe going as patrons started making their way to the venue. At around the 9 pm mark, DJ Vinchi picked up the baton as the venue got more and more crowded. The A-Team, consisting of Carlos and Ace then kicked things into overdrive, setting the stage for the Redbull Selector Set segment of the event.

Armed with armbands patrons took advantage of the power to choose what they listen to, as Soca DJ Travis World lit up the stage with a myriad of soca selections, as chosen by attendees. Following his set, Chromatic Duo, Creep and JR took charge of things, going straight into dancehall juggling as selected by the patrons. Throughout this segment, patrons opted between old school vs new school dancehall, soca vs dancehall, old school vs new school soca, amongst others. This made for a very versatile, unpredictable musical selection to close out the event.

Sandre Malcolm, CEO of Campus Elite and Director of D’Aftermas explains that “D'Aftermas has become more than just an event; it’s a movement.Year after year, the energy, the crowd, and the vibes gets better and better. This year, the response was beyond our expectations, and we couldn’t be more thrilled with the way the party brought people together to celebrate after the road march. I’m even happier with how the Red Bull Selector set segment went without a hitch. I love that patrons were able to fully enjoy themselves by deciding what it is they want to listen to as the night progressed.”

In addition to the interactive experience of the Selector set, guest artiste Ayetian got the crowd railing with his popular hit song ‘Balance’. The musical prowess displayed on Saturday was not the only attraction of the night. Patrons happily indulged in the complimentary bottles of coconut water from Pure Country, as well as the complimentary Doritos and Rum Stripe at their disposal.

With this first-of-its-kind event in Jamaica, Campus Elite has set the bar of creativity and innovation at an incremental high for other promoters. “From the planning stages to the final beats of the night, D'Aftermas continues to prove why it’s the ultimate after-party experience. The success of this event is a testament to the loyalty of our supporters and the unmatched energy of the UWI Carnival. I have to thank all the sponsors who came onboard to make D’Aftermas a success, as this would not have been possible without you. We can’t wait to bring to life the vision for the next staging,” concluded Malcolm.

With its innovative approach and seamless execution, D'Aftermas has once again proven to be more than just a party – it’s a celebration of culture, community, and the boundless energy of youth. Campus Elite continues to raise the bar for events that engage, inspire, and unite.
