Luxury cognac brand, Courvoisier, turned up the heat at the most recent Frinally party series held at The Courtyard on 36 Hope Road.
With an electrifying throwback- themed night, Frinally delivered a night full of energy and nostalgic moments, as one of Jamaica’s most talented artistes, Wayne Marshall along with friends, pulled out all the stops for an unforgettable late night performance.
Upon entrance Patrons were greeted with complimentary Courvoisier cocktails upon entrance from charmingly dressed Courvoisier hostesses. As the crowd vibed to the hottest throwback hits from dynamic duo DJ Franco & Brush 1, and the versatile DJ Narity on the night’s juggling, Courvoisier was right in the heart of the action, creating a memorable experience for both music lovers and brand enthusiasts alike.
As the night progressed, the venue became exceedingly packed with patrons wanting to witness the return of The Marshall to the stage, who had been off the local stage show scene for a few years. Taking the stage at approximately 2:00 am, Marshall entered to a rousing ‘fawud’ from the crowd, who sang out word-for-word the lyrics to Marshall Town. The crowd’s reaction fuelled the artiste to deliver a highly energetic performance, belting out hits after hits including Make Dem Come and his hit with Dancehall artiste Mavado, My Heart. Joining him throughout his performance were Kid Kurrupt, Ward 21, Leftside and the legendary Bounty Killer, who was joyful to join his friend on stage after his hiatus.
Promoter of Frinally, Daniel Wong, shared that “Through our title sponsor, we were able to , on this special night, get assistance from Courvoisier who came onboard in a big way, from providing a VIP cabana area for Wayne Marshall and guests, to treating our first 100 patrons to complimentary cocktails upon entry. Overall, this added to what turned out to be an amazing night for all who were in attendance, topping the event off with a premium experience.”
In a spectacular moment of recognition, Marshall was presented with exclusive bottles of Courvoisier, beautifully illuminated by Courvoisier’s stunning hostesses. The bottles were sent to a special Courvoisier cabana, designed just for Marshall, ensuring he could continue the celebration in style.
“In addition, we the promoters also saw it fitting to honour Wayne Marshall in a special way for his contribution and years of service to Dancehall and when we pitched this idea to the Campari/Courvoisier team, without hesitation both the Frinally team and Courvoisier came together to gift wayne with a special bottle of Courvoisier VSOP,” Wong continued.
Dominic Bell, Brand Communications Manager at J Wray & Nephew Ltd, spoke on Courvoisier’s decision to facilitate this show of appreciation to the artiste.
“At Courvoisier, we pride ourselves on creating extraordinary experiences that blend luxury, culture and celebration. Aligning with Frinally has been an incredible opportunity to bring together music lovers and cognac enthusiasts in a vibrant atmosphere. We’re also thrilled to have Courvoisier headline the gifting moment. As a cognac brand that celebrates cultural milestones globally, Courvoisier was the perfect fit to honour a moment as meaningful as Wayne’s return to the stage. It was truly an unforgettable night of artistry and premium quality music that truly embody the spirit of Courvoisier,” shared Bell.
The night was a fusion of luxurious experiences and musical nostalgia, with Courvoisier standing at the forefront, solidifying its position as the brand of choice for those who appreciate the finer things in life.
