High-Level Competition and New Champions Highlight Mayberry Junior Caribbean Tennis Championship 2025

The Mayberry Investments Limited Junior Caribbean Tennis Championship 2025 concluded on a high note at The Liguanea Club on Friday, with Tournament Organizer Llockett McGregor hailing the event as a major success.

The week-long tournament drew participation from junior athletes across the island, delivering competitive matches, remarkable talent, and an enthusiastic return to top-tier junior tennis.

“The tournament was very successful. We had a lot of entries, including players from as far as Montego Bay. It was very competitive, and we are happy with the outcome,” said McGregor. “The energy and talent on display this year show that the future of Caribbean tennis is incredibly bright.”

This year marked a significant evolution in the tournament’s format with the introduction of the Universal Tennis Rating (UTR) system, enabling athletes to earn internationally recognized ranking points. This not only increases their global visibility but also enhances their chances of being recruited by top colleges and universities abroad.

With increased participation, strong matches, and glowing reviews from players and parents alike, McGregor shared that organizers are already planning for next year. “We’re committed to growing this into an even bigger regional event and continuing to provide young players with a platform that helps them grow, not just in sport, but in life,” he added.
