The U.R.G.E. Foundation, led by Ziggy and Orly Marley, will broaden their home rebuild
projects to assist displaced families affected by Hurricane Melissa in Jamaica.
An extension of an already successful partnership led by Michelle Gordon, Founder of the
BossMom Network, and the Goodwill Ambassador for Food For The Poor, the organizations
share the continued commitment of rebuilding homes, restoring hope, and empowering single
mothers & children cross the island.
The initial $50,000 US donation amplifies the commitment from Marley and U.R.G.E., who have
taken immediate action following the storm, working to raise additional funding across the
music industry. New initiatives will be announced in the coming weeks, focusing on immediate
hurricane relief assistance as well as long-term financial support for the rebuild ahead.
“Ziggy and Orly have been with us from the beginning.” said Michelle Gordon. “Their renewed
support at this critical time allows us to move quickly from relief to restoration, helping mothers
get out of survival mode and back into nurturing their children and rebuilding their futures.”
Since its inception, BossMom Builds has partnered with Food For The Poor Jamaica to provide
safe, sustainable housing for mothers in need. Following the devastation of Hurricane Melissa,
the initiative has shifted focus to a $100,000 rebuilding campaign, aimed at repairing damaged
homes, furnishing new ones, and restoring livelihoods for affected families.

Since 1992, the URGE Foundation (Unlimited Resources Giving Enlightenment) has been
dedicated to improving the lives of children and families through education, health, and
community development. Its ongoing collaboration with BossMom Builds continues to
highlight what can happen when compassion meets partnership, and when Jamaicans and the
global community join hands in service.
With this new donation, the partnership is well on its way toward its $100,000 goal, and
Gordon is inviting individuals, corporate partners, and the Jamaican diaspora to join the
mission. “We’ve built before, and with your help, we can build more,” Gordon added. “Every
contribution, no matter the size, helps us rebuild homes, restore hope, and keep our mothers
and children safe.”
