In the wake of Hurricane Melissa, which left several communities across western Jamaica in urgent need of relief, Lifespan Spring Water had stepped forward to support recovery efforts through critical water donations.
Recognizing that access to clean drinking water is among the most pressing needs, Lifespan has collaborated with Rotary Jamaica to fill and distribute hundreds of gallons of water to hard-hit communities in Negril and Savanna-la-Mar.
The initiative is being spearheaded by Assistant Governor Peta-Gaye Pryce, who coordinated efforts among her nest of Rotary clubs across the island. Clubs in less-affected areas mobilized quickly, delivering food, hygiene supplies, and water to those impacted. In response to the urgent call for water, Lifespan opened its Buff Bay plant to fill Rotary’s gallon-and-a-half containers, ensuring families in the west received clean, safe drinking water.
In addition to its partnership with Rotary, Lifespan also donated 50 cases of 5-gallon bottled water to Dream Entertainment in support of their hurricane relief drive, extending the company’s reach to more communities in need.
“Lifespan has always been committed to the well-being of Jamaicans,” said Karonna Atkins, Brand Manager at Lifespan Spring Water. “In times of crisis, we see it as our duty to step up and provide one of the most essential resources — clean water — to help families recover and rebuild.”
Through these and several other efforts, Lifespan continues to demonstrate its dedication to community resilience and its ongoing partnership with civic organizations across Jamaica.
