Ten charged for breaching curfew order

The man who was seen in a video voicing his refusal to obey the curfew orders is among ten persons charged with breaching the 10-hour regulation which was imposed Wednesday night to help limit the spread of the coronavirus.

He has been identified as 37 year-old Dayne Mitchell of Penso Street, Kingston.

Eight of the individuals are from Hanover and one from Westmoreland.

A release from the Jamaica Constabulary Force Corporate Communications Unit said scores of other persons were warned for prosecution and cooperated.

It said no homeless person was arrested.

The police are reminding persons to comply with the nightly all-island curfew from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.
