In light of Covid 19 restrictions, Culture Minister Olivia Grange, says Labour Day 2020 will be celebrated under the theme, "Labour at Home."
Grange says the theme is in keeping with the need to practice social distancing and the ban on large gatherings.
A news release from the Culture Ministry says Jamaicans will be asked to use Labour Day to clean, paint and fix up their homes.
Despite the restrictions, the Culture Minister says the National Workers' Week and Labour Day Committee is giving consideration to having national and parish projects which can be implemented without putting anyone's health at risk or breaching the Disaster Risk Management Act.
Labour Day will be observed on Monday May 25.
