One of two police officers who were charged following a multi-million dollar robbery in Hellshire, St Catherine two years ago, has been freed.
Constable Ralston Parchment was freed following a no case submission by his attorneys on Friday April 16.
The attorneys argued that the identification evidence against their client was weak and Mr Parchment was not properly pointed out by the witness.
His co-accused, Constable Reneque Pearson will return to court on May 6.
It was alleged that on February 20, 2019, the cops robbed two residents of $17 million in cash and jewellery.
A third policeman implicated in the incident reportedly fled the island after being released from custody.
