Reputed Gang Leader, Christopher Linton, has been freed by the Court of Appeal.
Linton is otherwise known as Dog Paw.
An appeal of his 15 year sentence for two gun related offences was upheld in the Appeal Court a short while ago.
Linton’s co-convict Micah Allen was also freed by the Appeal Court.
Linton and Allen were both sentenced in May 2013 to 15 years in prison after being found guilty of two charges.
Linton and Allen were found guilty of shooting with intent and illegal possession of firearm.
Both men were convicted in connection with an incident where he was alleged to have shot at two policemen who were travelling in a service car in 2010.
Linton had received 15 years for each charge, for a total of 30 years imprisonment.
However, the sentences were to run concurrently.
Linton was represented in the Appeal Court by Robert Fletcher and Jean Paul Hamilton.
Allen was represented by Patrick Peterkin.
The Police have alleged that Linton is the leader of the feared Dog Paw gang.
Linton denies the allegation.
In 2011, Linton was the country’s most wanted man.
After his successful appeal, Christopher ‘Dog Paw’ Linton is to be released from custody in the coming hours. It’s understood Linton isn’t currently facing any further charges from the police.
