An eight year boy was shot dead by gunmen in Content, York Town, Clarendon on Sunday morning.

He has been identified as Xavier Phillips, a student of Balarus River.

  

Three other persons were injured in the attack at a football field.

 

The shooting occurred about 7:30.

 

Xavier was among spectators watching a football game when armed men drove up in a vehicle and opened fire on the group. He was shot in the head and died on the spot.

 

The other victims were taken to hospital.
