The number of firearms seized at Stadium East in St. Andrew since Sunday has increased to eight.
Five weapons - including three high powered rifles - as well as two magazines and 60 cartridges were found on Monday as the police and military continued operations at the location.
Two rifles, a shot gun and more than 50 rounds of ammunition were seized on Sunday. The police later confirmed they had recovered a third weapon.
Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of crime, Fitz Bailey, on Monday said the operation is being carried out by several police teams including the Public Safety and Traffic Enforcement Branch (PSTEB), the Counter-Terrorism and Organised Crime Investigations Branch (C-TOC) and the Special Operations branch, with help from the military.
