Female Banker With Slapped Cocaine and Firearm Charges

A female bank employee is in police custody following a major cocaine bust in St. James.
A probe is underway into the seizure of 24 pounds of cocaine with a street value of US$550,000 during an anti-narcotics operation in Goodwill, St. James on Wednesday.
 
According to the police, about 6:00 p.m., a Toyota Prado was intercepted at a property in Goodwill.
 
Ten packages containing the cocaine were allegedly found inside the vehicle.
 
The female occupant, who identified herself as an employee of a prominent bank in Montego Bay, was taken into custody. 
 
During the search of a two storey house occupied by the woman, a number of  magazines and twelve 9 millimetre cartridges were reportedly found in a bedroom.   
 
She was later charged with breaches of the Dangerous Drugs Act and the Firearms Act.
