The official calendar of events has been revealed for the 2022 carnival season.

Jamaica last hosted carnival events in April 2019 due to the impact of COVID-19 on the entertainment sector. 

The season kicks off this weekend with pre-events including Hard Wine, Bacchanal Rum for Breakfast, and Soca Vs. Dancehall.

The calendar also includes Xodus Tailgate, SunKissed, Bacchanal J'ouvert, Duck Work, The Official Pre-Mas Fête and Xodus Remedy, which are slated for July. 

The grand carnival road parade will take place on July 10.
