Music stars Katy Perry, Kesha, and Eminem have all come under fire over song lyrics referencing the crimes of Jeffrey Dahmer.
Katy Perry's 2013 track, Dark Horse features a line sung by rapper Juicy J, which reads "She's a beast I call her Karma. She eats your heart like Jeffrey Dahmer"
Music fans have also been threatening to delete Kesha's 2010 track Cannibal which also makes mention of the serial killer.
Rapper Eminem used Dahmer as an inspiration for three songs, Bagpipes from Baghdad, Must Be The Ganja and Brainless.
Fans say the references are "disgusting" and "insensitive" to Dahmer's victims and feel the artistes should be held accountable.
Locally, dancehall deejay Vybz Kartel also made reference to Dahmer in his single Tony Montanna.
