Messi's double leads Argentina to easy victory over Reggae Boyz

Lionel Messi scored a double coming off the bench to condemn Jamaica to a 3-0 defeat at the hands of Argentina in their friendly international match at the Red Bull Arena in New Jersey on Tuesday. The 2-time World Cup champions got their first goal from Julian Alvarez in the 13th minute.

Messi who came on for Lautaro Matinez with 35 minutes to go, notched his double in the 86th and 89th minutes. The Jamaicans are set to play Cameroon in Cameroon in their next friendly international on November 9.

Fraser-Pryce focused on running 10.5 seconds in 2023

After setting a meet-equalling record of 10.65 seconds at the Zurich Diamond League final on Thursday to capture her fifth Diamond Trophy in the 100 meters, world champion Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce says she's still focusing on running 10.5 seconds next year.

Fraser-Pryce became the first woman in history to run sub 10.7 seconds on seven occasions in a season, but the 35 year old says more is in store for next season which has a World Championships in Budapest, Hungary.
