Two goat thieves were killed  in the rural district of Middlesex in St Ann. On Tuesday, residents of Middlesex, a community between Guy's Hill and Moneague, saw three men travelling in a Toyota Probox motorcar with what appeared to be a goat.

A licensed firearm holder, on seeing the car, signalled to the driver to stop, but a shoot-out ensued. The motorcar then crashed along a section of the roadway. The two male passengers then ran from the vehicle, leaving the driver behind.

The driver, later identified as Lee-Hosang, a taxi operator of Retreat, St Mary, was found suffering from injuries he sustained in the crash and he subsequently died. A goat was also found inside the vehicle. It is unclear how the second man was killed.

A third man, who was allegedly also part of the goat-stealing mission, is now in police custody.
