Oshane Waite Crowned Champion as Supreme Ventures Domino Master Series Returns to Portmore

The exciting Supreme Ventures Domino Master Series descended upon Caymanas Park in Portmore for a second time last Sunday.

After four rounds of strategic moves and electrifying domino action by the over150 contenders, a confident Oshane Waite emerged champion.

Dominating the competition with unwavering confidence, Waite's victory in the second Portmore leg of the Supreme Ventures Domino Master Series came as no surprise to him and his fans. Prior to the final round, Waite boldly proclaimed that winning would be, “too easy,” and as fate would have it, his prediction was accurate, as he made light work of his opponents and claimed the title of Portmore champion, walking away with a well-deserved cash prize of $150,000.

In a historic twist, the final round witnessed two women, Monique Cunningham and Natasha Brown, vying for dominance alongside their male counterparts. Brown, who showcased her exceptional domino skills and strategic mastery, emerged as the highest-placed woman in the competition thus far, taking the runner up spot. Meanwhile, Monique Cunningham demonstrated her dominoes acumen, securing an admirable fourth-place position and proving her mettle against fierce competition. The other finalist, Dwayne Brissett, secured a commendable third-place finish, displaying remarkable skill and tenacity throughout the cut throat style domino tournament.

Speaking at the conclusion of the Portmore tournament, Dwayne Tulloch, the Senior Vice President of Retail and Customer Operations at Supreme Ventures Limited, expressed his excitement for the upcoming national championship, stating, “After weeks of action and some exciting showdowns across Jamaica, the SVL team is very pleased to see the growth of the Supreme Domino Master Series. We say a big thank you to the hundreds of players who have come out week after week to showcase their skill. We witnessed the development of a strong spirit of camaraderie as the competition progressed and now we look forward to witnessing the climax of this awesome journey on July 2, as we crown Jamaica's National Domino Champion.”

Previous community tournament winners were Leroy Cooper who finished atop the pile in May Pen, David White who was crowned champion at the end of the first Portmore leg of the competition, Garfield Brissett who earned bragging rights at the Spanish Town stop and Gerry Gardner who was the last man standing after the first stop in Montego Bay.

The Supreme Domino Master Series has been a true game-changer in the local domino scene.  breaking down gender barriers and revolutionizing the world of dominoes with its cutting-edge betting system. As anticipation grows for the grand final slated for July 2, at the Chinese Benevolent Association.
