The singer kicks off his Forever Giving Thanks Tour on June 17 at the Sierra Nevada World Music Festival in Booneville, California.

He will do shows in California; Medford, Massachusetts; New Haven, Connecticut; Newark, New Jersey; Farmingville, New York; Norfolk, Virginia; Atlanta, Georgia; and Orlando/Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

On July 23, the 67-year-old Hammond is at the famed Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles. Also on that show are Steel Pulse and Third World.

Like his 2022 Solid Love Tour, he will perform at sizeable venues in major cities with large Jamaican and West Indian populations. They include the Prudential Hall Performing Arts Centre in New Jersey, on August 12 with Romain Virgo.

That venue, which has a capacity of 2,800, also hosts Santana, Alanis Morissette, LL Cool J and The Roots and Erykah Badu this summer.

On August 20, Hammond plays the Cadence Park Amphitheatre which seats 6,900. Five days later, he is at Hard Rock Live Orlando, which holds 3,000.

Hammond closes the tour with back-to-back shows at Au-Rene Theater, Broward Center For The Performing Arts in Fort Lauderdale on August 26 and 27. He also did consecutive nights last September at that venue which had a capacity crowd.

The St Mary-born Hammond started his career in the early 1970s with Zap Pow Band. Later that decade he had several R&B hits, among them One Step Ahead, produced by Willie Lindo who also directed him on What One Dance Can Do, the 1985 single that set his remarkable sequence of hit songs in motion.

Never Ending, his previous album, was released in 2018.
