The project is funded by the European Union through JSIF’s Poverty Reduction Programme, PRP.

The centres are Adelphi, Barrett Town, Flanker, and Granville Health Centres.

The project which is slated to get off the ground in two months is expected to benefit some 70 health workers and approximately 15,000 residents combined.

Key components of the project include the construction of a dental office in Granville and Adelphi, the construction of four restrooms and a pharmacy at Adelphi.

The project will also see the construction of seven consultation rooms across the four communities, the construction of additional public health offices and treatment rooms and the construction of a perimeter fence.

The poverty reduction programme supported by the EU will come to an end this year.

Head of the delegation of the European Union, EU, to Jamaica, Ambassador Malgorzata Wasilewska said the EU is happy with the support it was able to provide over the past 20-years.
