Mr. Wellington made the revelation on  Friday evening.

The dates for the high school track and field festival are May 11-15.

Last year’s event was cancelled not long after the first reported case of COVID-19 in Jamaica.

The year’s event had been in limbo after it became clear approval wasn’t going to granted for the April 27-May 1 date proposed by ISSA.

ISSA’s president says stakeholders are fine tuning the details of the event .

But among the major restrictions already announced are the absence of spectators from the National Stadium, Strict Covid-19 Protocols, reduced number of events and limits on the number of team members.
