Prime Minister Andrew Holness has described the banning of  Jamaican artistes by other countries as an embarrassment.
He was speaking in the wake of  the decision by Guyana to ban dancehall artiste Skeng from performing at public events in that country.

The announcement on Friday stemmed from a shooting incident at a May 28 concert where Skeng performed.

Mr. Holness said on Sunday that he was very concerned about much of the content of Jamaica's current music.

He acknowledged that the government could be accused of  censorship if  it intervenes but stressed that he was worried about how Jamaicans are being defined by the music.
