One more case of Monkeypox confirmed in Jamaica

Jamaica has recorded another locally transmitted case of monkeypox, increasing the total to 15. Among them, 14 are males.

The Ministry of Health & Wellness revealed that the latest case was confirmed in Kingston.

Five monkeypox patients are in home quarantine.

There are now 13 locally transmitted and two imported cases of Monkeypox in Jamaica

One death remains under investigation as possibly linked to the disease.

There's still no word from the Health & Wellness Ministry on when vaccines to treat monkeypox will arrive in Jamaica.

Health & Wellness Minister Dr Christopher Tufton had said a batch of the vaccine was expected to arrive last month.

The ministry has not commented on the delay.
