TransJamaican reports increased profit

TransJamaican Highway earned more profit in its third quarter ended September.
Earnings after tax for the three months were valued at US$2.1 million.
 
That's more than four times the amount the company made in the same quarter last year, when it earned US$516,000. 
 
TransJamaican's earnings were valued at US$16.7 million, which was $3.6 million more than July to September 2021.
 
For the same period last year, the company made US$13 million.
 
This brought the company's nine-month revenues to US$47 million, a 25 per cent increase.
 
TransJamaican Highway has reported that traffic volumes continue to exceed pre-pandemic levels for 2022.
 
For the first nine months of the year, traffic was up seven per cent over to 2019, and grew 16 per cent compared to 2021.
