National Security Minister Dr Horace Chang made the announcement a short while ago during a media briefing at Jamaica House.

Flanked by the heads of the Jamaica Constabulary Force and the Jamaica Defence Force, Chang said the intensified measures are to let people feel safe over the holidays.

"The Government firmly believes that law abiding citizens should go about their lawful business in safety," said Chang.
