As part of his bail conditions, Chin, who was charged in the $90 million drug bust at the Norman Manley International Airport in January, was ordered to reside at his home in Mona, St Andrew.

However, Champagnie told Parish Judge of the Kingston and St Andrew Parish Court, Venise Blackstock-Murray that because of his physical health, he needs someone to attend to him "especially after treatment”.

He added that the new address is in the same general vicinity as the one he is living at currently.

Champagnie presented a utility bill from the new address, as well as a letter from the owner of the premises, stating that they have no problem with him living at the residence.

He also noted that all other bail conditions are being met.

In January, Chin, who is the half-brother of People's National Party (PNP) vice presideRnt, Mickeal Phillips, was granted bail in the sum of $700,000 on humanitarian grounds.

Chin was also ordered to report to the nearest police station, surrender all travel documents and make no contact with any crown witnesses. A nightly curfew was also placed on his bail conditions.

However, despite the prosecution not opposing the change of address, Blackstock-Murray ordered the investigating officer to visit the new address and have it verified before a decision is made.

Chin was ordered to return to court on Friday.
