Covid-19 cases inch up to 588

Jamaica has recorded two new confirmed COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours. There are now 588 confirmed positives for the island.

Jamaica reopened its borders today.

Minister of Labour and Social Security, Hon Shahine Robinson, has died. 

A rift in the PNP Eastern St. Catherine organization is intensifying following moves by Spanish Town’s Mayor, Norman Scott to replace incumbent Member Parliament, Denise Daley, as the PNP’s candidate for the constituency in the next General Election.

Member of Parliament for St. Mary South East Dr Norman Dunn is appealing to residents under quarantine to cooperate with relief officers  in an effort to streamline assistance. 

Doctor Lloyd Goldson, who provided prenatal care to Jodian Fearon, the woman who died after giving birth, said he has now given a statement to the police.
