The third staging of the Streetz Festival will be coming home to Kingston! After 5 long years, Streetz will be hosted at National Stadium Car Park on September 2, 2023.

Chad Williams, among the directors of the Streetz team, noted, “we’ve had some amazing experiences hosting Streetz in St Ann, the crowd and vibes there are especially unique. Preparations for the event are well underway and we have gone above and beyond to ensure that patrons have a great time.”

Past stagings in St. Ann in both 2017 and 2018 have seen upwards of 5,000 patrons each time with the last staging bringing an impressive crowd of 7,000 patrons. Previous patrons gathered to watch acts Ding Dong and Sky Juice from Metro Media. This year, crowds will gather in anticipation of Dancehall heavy hitter Masicka’s return to the Kingston stage.

“What makes Streetz Festival unique is its commitment to the heart of Dancehall culture. We know the Kingston and Portmore massive is excited for Masicka’s return to the south coast and we anticipate our biggest staging yet. Not only will patrons enjoy Dancehall music all night from the likes of Boom Boom, Shukkle Bus, Chrome and Coppershot, as well as a high energy performance from Masicka, but the entire feel of the festival space will reflect an authentic Dancehall Street dance,” Williams added.

Showcasing more than Jamaican music and dancehall style, Streetz will have authentic Jamaican food on sale. This will give patrons the best of local street food while reflecting the diversity of the Dancehall entertainment ecosystem. Ultimately, Streetz Festival aims to revive and uplift the standard of the Jamaican Dancehall festival as they return to the birthplace and heart of Dancehall music, Kingston, Jamaica.

Leading up the main event, Streetz will host a promo island tour, with stops in Montego Bay, Negril, Ocho Rios and Kingston.

Williams urges everyone to get their tickets early and to be on time as the event will follow all guidelines set by the authorities. He assures patrons to anticipate top tier execution and a safe and fun environment to celebrate and enjoy Dancehall music.

This year, the Streetz Festival partners with title sponsor Dragon Stout with additional sponsorship from Pepsi, Willcom Creative, Elite Creations and SMA Talent Agency.
