Isat Buchanan, attorney-at-law for jailed deejay, Adidja ‘Vybz Kartel’ Palmer, is looking forward to his day in court before the United Kingdom-based Privy Council which has been requested to listen to his client’s appeal.

The Privy Council has denied dancehall artiste Vybz Kartel’s request for fresh evidence to be presented in the appeal of his murder conviction.

The United Kingdom-based Privy Council handed down a landmark ruling today in favour of the Jamaican police that under the Proceeds of Crime Act 2007 there is no restriction to prevent the investigatory power from conducting the seizure and search of material and information prior to the legislation coming into effect.
