Toshami Calvin Named Miss Jamaica Universe 2022

Twenty-six-year-old St Thomas native Toshami Calvin will represent Jamaica at the 71st annual staging of the Miss Universe pageant next year.

A  policeman was shot in the face by gunmen in Linstead, St Catherine on Monday afternoon.

Reports are that the inspector accosted a man who aroused his suspicion, and, during the confrontation, the man pulled a gun and fired, hitting the policeman.

The cop has been admitted to hospital in stable condition.

Several senior officers are at the scene.

Reports reachingE are that the gunmen surprised the cop and shot him.

He managed to draw his service firearm and shot one of the gunmen.
