This collaborative effort, grounded in the principle of a chain of volunteers, has birthed an international charity that is reshaping the narrative for children with heart disease.
Due to the significant philanthropic contribution, the Dolla Group received an invitation from Chain of Hope Jamaica, in collaboration with Chain of Hope UK, to participate in a thank-you event on Thursday, November 30, 2023. The event aimed to provide a treat for 10 children and express gratitude to key stakeholders such as; Dolla and Ultra. This special occasion allowed members of the Dolla Group to engage with the children directly, demonstrating their commitment to effecting positive change in the lives of young ones. Subsequent to the thank-you event, on December 1, 2023, Dolla officially presented a $1 million cheque, and their name was unveiled on the Bustamante Hospital for Children's Wall of Gratitude. Among the attendees were David Henriques CEO, of Ultra Financier, Kenroy Kerr, Group CEO; Trevene Mckenzie, Group CFO; Tashoni Ellis, Group Marketing Manager; Chad Wynter, Group Legal Officer of Dolla Financial and Tricia Nicholas, Group Governance & Compliance Manager. The Dolla team expressed their ongoing dedication to supporting causes that make a meaningful impact on the well-being of children and communities.
