Hyde is charged with assault occasioning grievous bodily harm, use of malicious communication, assault occasioning actual bodily harm and false imprisonment.
Dressed in a blue buttoned shirt and black pants, Hyde stood in the prisoner's dock in the Kingston and St Andrew Parish Court while his attorney, Peter Champagnie, addressed Senior Parish Judge Lori-Anne Cole-Montaque.
Champagnie told the judge that he did not intend to "change the status" of his client, who is currently in custody, and asked for an adjournment in the matter.
The matter was adjourned until March 9.
Hyde was ordered to be fingerprinted.
