Kemar ‘Ding Dong’ Ottey rang in his 43rd birthday on Friday, September 29, 2023 in his backyard at the National Stadium Car Park. The event was a star-studded affair, as fellow artistes, dancers and influencers showed out to celebrate with the ‘Dancing King’.

Stone Love, Boom Boom, Escobar, Noah Powa and Kryptic & Fyahman were the vibe masters for the night, providing top-notch entertainment for the supporters in attendance. Hosted by Romeich Entertainment and powered by Magnum Tonic Wine, the threat of rain did little to hold back the hundreds who came out to show love to the man of the night.

“Ding Dong has consistently raised the bar year after year, and we are happy to be a part of his journey. We have achieved many milestones together, and his commitment to the brand, his creativity and passion doesn’t go unnoticed. It would be remiss of us to not show up for him on his big day, as he always does for us,” said Kamal Powell, Regional Marketing Manager for Magnum Tonic Wine.

Making his appearance at approximately 1:00am, Ding Dong was showered with love and praises from adoring fans and well-wishers, opting to rave alongside them throughout the night. Moments before the celebrant touched the stage, Boom Boom brought out a live goat on stage, depicting that Ding Dong has reached G.O.A.T status in Jamaica’s Dancehall fraternity. Though he insisted that the event was not a stage show, Ding took to the stage with an acapella snippet of his hit song ‘Happiness’. He then moved into his ‘Badman Fawud, Badman Pullup’ tune, which he followed up with ‘Bomb’ and ‘Good Ting Dem’, with his Ravers Clavers crew in tow.

In true Ding Dong fashion, he invited all entertainers present on stage where they all performed a song each. Amongst these were Valiant, Roze Don, Prettii Prettii, Jahshii, King Imxge, Iwaata and the young, upcoming High Flames crew. Dancing Rebel also took to the stage to showcase her newest dance moves, much to the crowd's delight.

“Thanks to the Almighty fi mek me see another year. Thanks to my wife, to Romeich, Magnum, Grace, Boom and everybody who fawud out fi celebrate wid me,” expressed a grateful Ding Dong.

Topping off the night’s festivities was a round of fireworks, bringing to a close Ding Dong’s 43rd celebration.
