Triple murder in Waterford last night

Men posing as robbers killed an elderly woman, her daughter and grandson in Waterford last nigh, snuffing out a whole branch of a family's tree. The Corporate Communication Unit, the information arm of the Jamaica Constabulary Force, confirmed the incident. The dead persons have been identified as Pamela Russell, 74, Shemellia Craig, 48, and Romario Craig, 21. "The triple murder happened at about 9:20 p.m. They were in the living room when men posing as robbers demanded money and valuables, that was not really their intent. The men opened fire, hitting them, Shemellia died while being treated, while Romario Craig and Russell were pronounced dead on arrival at the hospital," a representative of the CCU told Loop reporter Claude Mills.
The Narcotics Police and the Canine Division is reporting the seizure of several packages of cocaine worth $4.7 million at the Sangster International Airport in Montego Bay on Saturday, November 30. Reports are that about 3:15 pm, during a security screening, a flight scheduled to depart to the United States of America was searched and six packages of white substance resembling cocaine were found in the bathroom. No one was arrested in connection with the seizure, the police said.

14 y-o Toshauna Lewis missing

An Ananda Alert has been activated for 14-year-old Toshauna Lewis of Summerfield in Clarendon who has been missing since Friday, November 29. She is of dark complexion, medium build and is about 4 feet 2 inches tall. Police reports are that Toshauna was last seen at about 2:00 pm at Frankfield, in the parish, wearing a white blouse, light blue tunic and a pair of black shoes. Anyone knowing the whereabouts of Toshauna is being asked to contact the Chapleton Police Station at 876-987-2244, police 119 emergency number or the nearest police station.

A Manchester businessman was shot dead and his licensed firearm stolen by gunmen in the usually quiet community of Mile Gully in the parish's north east on Saturday morning (November 30).

He has been identified as 39-year-old Wayne Nash, a funeral home director.

Police reports are that shortly after 1:00 am Nash was at one of his business establishments, a bar, when armed men entered and proceeded to rob patrons. It is further reported that during the robbery, Nash was shot, and his licensed firearm stolen.

He was taken to hospital and pronounced dead on arrival.

Vybz Kartel’s protoge, aspiring deejay Sikka Rhymes, was shot last night in the Corporate Area by unknown assailants.

Two farmers shot dead outside club in Trelawny

Two farmers were shot dead yesterday morning and another is battling for life in hospital after gunmen went berserk outside a nightclub in the normally quiet farming community of St Vincent, Trelawny.

Hondurans Caught With Ganja At Sea Arrested

THREE HONDURANS ARRESTED AND CHARGED WITH BREACHES OF THE DANGEROUS DRUGS ACT

The Narcotics Police have charged three Hondurans who were intercepted
off the coast of Westmoreland and found with over two million dollars worth of ganja.

They are:
 31-year-old Humberto Cirilo,
 27-year-old Cristyfor Elliot and
 36-year-old Andes Hopkin all of Guanaja, Honduras.

The three are charged jointly with the offences of :

 Possession of Ganja
 Dealing in Ganja
 Taking Steps Preparatory to Export Ganja
 Conspiracy and
 Use of Conveyance.

The men were arrested on November 19, about 9:00 p.m., when the Jamaica Defence Force (JDF)
Coast Guard intercepted a vessel off the coast of Negril, Westmoreland. The vessel was searched
and 656 pounds of compressed ganja were found. The Narcotics Police were contacted and the
men were subsequently handed over to them. The drugs have an estimated street value of 2.62
million JMD.

The men are scheduled to appear in the Westmoreland Parish Court on Tuesday, December 03,
2019.

Sleuths in the Clarendon Division arrested and charged a man with the murder of a Kingston woman just 24 hours after her body was discovered in bushes along Sevens
Road in the parish on Monday, November 25.

Clarendon’s crime officer, Deputy Superintendent Anglin, who led the investigative team, said the team worked tirelessly following up on leads and completing the necessary paperwork to lay the
charges.

“They showed true commitment to their oath of office and to the people of Jamaica,” he said.

The accused, 31-year-old Simester Ellis, otherwise called ‘National’, of Buck Common district in Clarendon, was charged with the murder of Nadia Nicholson, whose decomposing body was
found by residents about 3:30 p.m.

Ellis was picked up on Tuesday, November 26 during an operation in May Pen in the parish. Investigators say several items of probative value were seized during the operation, and have
pledged to continue to explore all leads.

Ellis was charged after being interviewed in the presence of his attorney. His court date will be announced later.
